Small is beautiful for Ford

Banking on its small car to be launched early next year, Ford India is targeting over three-fold increase in its sales to over 1,00,000 units per annum. Ford’s small car will compete with the likes of Maruti Wagon R and Hyundai Santro. The small car is likely to come in both petrol and diesel versions.

NASA mission to map the boundary of solar system

NASA’s Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) to map of the boundary between the solar system and interstellar space will be launched on a Pegasus XL rocket. The two year mission, costing US$165 million, will study the region in space where the solar wind from the sun suddenly slows down as it reaches the thin, cold gas of interstellar space.
